Meet Connor and Michelle these two are high school sweet hearts and have been dating for the past seven years! They love each other so very much and it was so easy to get a glimpse of it during this photo shoot. We had the most gorgeous weather for this Summer engagement shoot in Castle Rock, CO. Best job ever!

How did you two meet?
We met in high school during math class when we were 15. Our teacher paired the seats 2X2 and every few weeks would switch up the pairs. But she never switched us up, so we sat next to each other all semester and obviously got to know each other really well. Connor remembers first having the courage to talk to Michelle when they danced together during the high school winter dance.

What do you love most about the other?
Michelle: Connor is my best friend, he gets me the way no one else does. What I love most is his sense of adventure, and his compassionate heart. I love that we are able to grow together, and that we get to do so for the rest of our lives.

Connor: I love how organized she is because it keeps her grounded. But I also love how free she lets herself get when doing the things she loves, like being in nature. I also love how we have so much in common.

Why did you pick your current venue and what went into that?
We both wanted a venue close to home to accommodate our families as well as out of town guests, and it was also important that the ceremony was outside. We are both fairly simple, laid back people, and both want to enjoy our day. So, choosing a venue where we weren’t driving from place to place on the big day, and contacting multiple outside vendors went into the decision too. Lone Tree is the perfect spot because everything is in one place, and honestly planning the wedding wasn’t a big burden. Also the wedding coordinator there is fantastic and immediately gave us a sense of trust and made made us comfortable.

What excites you the most about your wedding day?
Michelle: I am excited to marry my best friend and celebrate the evening with our close friends and family.
Connor: I think what excites me the most is being able to marry my best friend. It isn’t every day that you get to share that with someone and it being with someone I truly love and care about for me.makes it the most exciting.

What advice would you give to couples planning their big day?
Relax, and space things out. You are in charge of how stressful the planning process becomes. That being said, direct your effort into the things that matter most and the rest will fall into place.
Also don’t forget to celebrate the “tasks” you complete during the process, it’s good to look back and see how far you’ve come.
