A Note From a Mama

Kimberly is the best, hands down!! We did a fall family photo shoot with our one year old daughter and our dog. She was so patient with all of our chaos. I’m here to answer any questions you may have about prepping your kids for photos. One of my biggest tips? Let them choose their own outfit. Really! Whether we’re meeting at your own home (my personal favorite), at a park, out in the mountains, I’ll share with you the best ways to keep everyone curious and comfortable, instead of stressed.

Prepping for your photo session:

When kids are comfortable, it really shows. So let them play! Let them lead the session, and trust that I will approach our entire time together with patience, love, and kindness. If they need some time to warm up, we can always pause. Kids have big emotions, and I never want them to feel they need to hide that. Likewise, parents, if I’m in your home, I don’t want you to feel you have to hide anything either. I want our session to feel natural, but don’t worry, I’ll choose framing and the best lighting to capture your home at its best.

Like with all my photography offerings, I take care to hand-edit your photos to make each one feel true to life and saturated with color and emotion. You can expect a gallery of 100+ images 6-8 weeks after our session. You’ll get digital files, but I’m also available to help guide you through choosing prints and creating heirloom-quality albums.
