As soon as Mark & Jacquelyn reached out to me I knew we were a perfect fit. They were so personal and kind in the original email and I could tell they really cared about the photography for their wedding. On top of that they were planning a farm wedding with tons of personal touches that reflected them as a couple. For the engagement session we started at their home and I love the images we documented there! Then walked to RINO since it was super close by. This at home engagement session mixed with the urban flair of RINO made for such an awesome morning.

I recently photographed their gorgeous day this past weekend at Pastures of Plenty (one of my favorite venues) and it did not disappoint. I can’t wait to share it with you all but for now enjoy this cute session! At Home Engagement Session

How did you two meet?

A local bar. We both noticed each other the first night, but said nothing, and the very next night we both went to the same bar in hopes of finding the stranger that got away. And we did. After that it was a summer built from friendship, adventures, books, and laughter, and it didn’t take long for us to understand the colors of life would not be as brilliant for us without our connection.

What do you love about one another?

Jacquelyn: Mark is a creator, and driven by curiosity. Humble, kind, social, cool, and empathetic. I constantly find myself wanting to be in his presence and thrive when I am around his energy. He is motivating, and a companion wanderlust. This list of what I Iove about him is infinite. I can’t capture what makes him great with words, he just is and I love it. The entire sum of his being.
Mark: Jacquelyn is independent, strong and creative.  She listens, remembers and is extremely intelligent. Her passion for helping, acceptance, and understanding of others is what attracts me to her the most.  She is free and adaptable in any situation.  I have never met anyone like her, she takes the time to slow down, look around and take pleasure in the simple things.  I can’t imagine a better companion to have next to me the rest of my life.

What excites you the most about your wedding day?

Getting to celebrate something we have created together with friends and family.

Why did you pick your current venue and what went into that?
We both wanted an outdoor venue since we spend most of our time in the outdoors.  We love eating wonderful food and Pastures of Plenty was a perfect fit for both of those things.

What advice would you give to couples planning their big day?
Relax. Do what you want to do. Work together, and love it.
