As soon as Devin and Leah reached out to me I knew they were special! I’m so incredibly thankful to the talented and lovely Lilli of Sweetly Paired & Bella Calla for referring me such wonderful humans. This day was amazing all around and I feel so grateful to have been the one to document this day!

If you could give one piece of advice to other brides who are planning their weddings, what would it be and why?
I’m the groom… So I’ll give advice to brides via the groom-end. I promise we care, we’re just trying to hide our excitement and nervousness behind a veil of manliness. All is well and it’s gonna be a kick-ass time. |
What was the favorite part of your wedding day?
The ceremony. We had a good friend officiate and we had no idea what he was going to say. He made everyone smile, laugh, and cry. It was also the moment that seemed to last the longest of the entire day; while everything else just breezed by. |
Where did you go for your honeymoon? What was the best part?
We’re leaving next week to Whistler then Kauai. We put off the honeymoon for a couple months because there’s few things more satisfying than being in a warm place (more specifically a beach) when the weather is miserably cold at home. |
What was your favorite thing to design/plan?
Invites. Not necessarily because it was the most fun to design or plan but this was the moment we knew everything was finally a reality. Most planning items were locked down and it was time to solidify plans with our guests. |
Anything else you’d like to share with KMitiska Photography readers?
Really try to soak the day in. It’s gonna be over in the blink of an eye. After planning for months, I can’t believe how fast the day flew by. It was a blast. Also, a word or two on Kim… This is gonna feel very “self-promotional” being on her site and all, but I’m gonna write it anyway. She was AWESOME. When I imagine walking around downtown Denver dressed in formal-wear, taking photos with photographer, I instantly begin to cringe with awkwardness. Kim made us feel comfortable, got us into natural poses, and ultimately made the photography session really fun. Also, all throughout the ceremony and reception, she was wearing a smile, talking to all of the guests, and taking amazing photos. |
