Daniel and Jessica’s rainy wedding day in Vail Colorado was beyond beautiful.  Jessica grew up going to Vail often in the summers with her family, and it has become a special place to her.  Even though the couple lives in California now, it meant so much for them to be able to spend their wedding day there and have the people they love the most come to this beautiful place to spend their wedding day with them.

Getting Ready

Daniel and Jessica took their time getting ready separately on the morning of their wedding.  Jessica did her own hair and makeup, surrounded by loved ones while Daniel put on his finishing touches with some of his closest friends.  Daniel and Jessica are both super loving and really value time with their families, so to be able to have their families come together as one and help them get ready for their wedding day was a super special experience for the two of them.

Prior to their wedding ceremony, Daniel and Jessica had their first look on the cobblestone streets that wind through Vail Colorado.  Daniel’s face the first time he saw Jessica absolutely melted my heart.  Struck with emotion, the two shared their first moments together on their wedding day in the rain. After their first look, Daniel, Jessica and I explored the space outside the Lodge at Vail inside Cuisina. There were so many beautiful spaces, we had so much fun taking their wedding portraits.  Despite the rain that filled their wedding day, we were still able to enjoy the beautiful skiing town of Vail.

Their Intimate Ceremony

For their wedding ceremony, their guests gathered and waited for Daniel and Jessica outside the restaurant in Vail Colorado.  There was a slight drizzle so everyone gathered under their umbrellas together and waited for the couple to arrive.  They performed their wedding ceremony, exchanged vows and then Daniel actually is in a band and sang a surprise song during his vows to Jessica with her brother Jason.  The whole crowd became so emotional and was just so loving and supportive of the couple.

Their Reception

After their ceremony, the couple was surrounded by friends and family. They spent time exchanging hugs and beaming with so much happiness for the couple. Luckily the rainfall that was over Vail took a break and they were able to spend time outside with their family for cocktail hour. After cocktail hour they headed into their beautiful reception space. During their dinner, Jessica’s mother Geri and Jason also sang a surprise song to the newlyweds to celebrate!  After dinner was finished, Jessica and Daniel cut their wedding cake and shared a first dance before the dance floor opened up. They had SO much fun throughout their reception celebrating Daniel and Jessica and dancing the night away.

Jessica and Daniel’s rainy day wedding in Vail Colorado was breathtakingly beautiful. I am seriously so blessed to be able to work with the COOLEST couples on all of their amazing wedding days. If you’re looking for more inspiration for your Colorado wedding day, check out my blog for inspiration.
