Cassie and Chris’s colorful wedding this past fall at Lyons Farmette in Lyons Colorado had a focus on being fun and down to earth, just how they wanted. These two planned their wedding remarkably fast, with just about a month and a half between when they contacted me and their wedding date. I’m beyond impressed by what they were able to plan and pull off in such a short amount of time, and once you see their gallery you will be as well.

Getting Ready and a First Look

If I had to describe Cassie and Chris’s wedding in one word it would be colorful. From the start of the day you could tell they wanted to keep things fun and colorful. From the bouquets, to Cassie’s dress, Lyons Farmette’s fall colors, and so many more details all throughout their wedding day, everything felt so vibrant and exciting. Cassie and Chris spent the start of their wedding day getting ready separately on the Lyons Farmette grounds with their wedding parties having a total riot preparing for the day’s festivities. Once ready they opted for a first look which I am always a fan of. First looks are always such a sweet and intimate moment of a wedding day and theirs was no exception.

Their Unique and Colorful Ceremony

Cassie and Chris chose to have their ceremony down next to the river at the Farmette’s sister venue Riverbend, which surprisingly enough they’re actually the first couple to ever do this at Lyons Farmette. This is still shocking to me and I can’t believe more couples haven’t chosen this spot for their ceremony. With the fall colors in full bloom at Lyons Farmette it was time for the wedding ceremony to start. Everyone in attendance was so incredibly happy to be there to celebrate Cassie and Chris’s love for one another. Their ceremony was sweet and emotional with one of my favorite details being how Cassie wore her mother’s veil giving the ceremony that extra personal touch. The two said their vows and exchanged rings surrounded by a ring of flowers and their closest friends and family before exiting to get the rest of the festivities underway.

Fun Indoor Reception

After we spent some time taking couples portraits, Cassie and Chris were able to mingle with their guests during their cocktail hour. The way these two set up their wedding day to be as down to earth as possible allowed them so much freedom to spend time both with each other and their guests. As cocktail hour was wrapping up and the cool fall air started to roll in, everyone made their way inside the Lyons Farmette indoor space for the wedding reception.

Cassie and Chris made their reception both personal and SO much fun. One of Chris’s groomsmen actually made their cake, and they brought a ton of masks and other fun accessories for people to wear while on the dance floor. Cassie, Chris and their guests danced the night away together having the absolute best time with each other and sending off their wedding in the best way possible.

As I mentioned before I am beyond impressed with what Cassie and Chris were able to pull off for their fall wedding at Lyons Farmette. With the limited amount of time they had it’s incredible and inspiring what they pulled off, and I’m so glad to have been a part of it!
