Emily and Dylan’s wedding in Boulder Colorado was one of the happiest and light-hearted weddings I’ve ever been a part of. They both have such a fun energy to them and so do all their favorite people. Their day was full of so much joy, love, and positive energy, it’s practically impossible to find a face that isn’t smiling throughout their entire wedding album.
Getting Ready for Their Boulder, Colorado Wedding
Emily and Dylan started off their day separately getting ready with their wedding parties and having the best time enjoying the company of all their closest friends and family. Emily’s mom helped her get ready to start her day which was such a happy moment to witness, immediately followed by her wedding party all seeing her in her dress for the first time. Having your whole crew there to hype you up before the wedding day festivities begin is always so much fun and one of my favorite parts of a wedding day. Dylan spent his morning similarly getting ready with all of his groomsmen while laughing and having a beer to start the day. Once everyone was ready it was time to head to their wedding venue Wedgewood in Boulder, Colorado to get the rest of the day underway.
Wedding Ceremony and Portraits
Once we arrived at the venue we had a bit of time before their ceremony started which we used to take some portraits. Colorado as a state is home to some beautiful landscapes, and Boulder is no exception making it a beautiful backdrop for wedding portraits. Before long it was time for their reception which was one of the happiest moments of the day. A recurring theme of Emily and Dylan’s wedding was anytime something good happened everyone in attendance would erupt with applause. Needless to say there was a lot of clapping throughout the day! After their beautiful and emotional ceremony it was time for some more portraits before cocktail hour.
Cocktail Hour and a Reception
During their cocktail hour Emily and Dylan made a conscious effort to be present and thank all of their guests for coming to their wedding in Boulder, Colorado which I absolutely adore. There was so much joy and happiness pouring out of everyone throughout the day and especially as the reception festivities began. From gut busting speeches, to an amazing first dance where Emily and her father danced around the entire reception space, to the moment the dancefloor opened for everyone to partake this was a wedding celebration to remember.
This has to be one of my favorite weddings in Boulder, Colorado to date and I’m beyond glad I was able to work with Emily and Dylan. They’re such an amazing couple with an incredibly fun and joyous energy and capturing their wedding day was a dream come true.
