The day the Andy + Katie got married was nothing short of magical! I absolutely loved photographing their beautiful Chautauqua Boulder wedding on a gorgeous Summer day. So much planning went into there sweet day and I feel so thankful to have been a part of it all.

What was the favorite part of your wedding day?
The ceremony, specifically walking down the aisle. It was such an emotionally powerful moment – more so than I had imagined!
I would also add just in general… being surrounded by people that we love was really special. There were so many people who traveled from far away to join us for the celebration and it meant everything to us. It was such a beautiful day filled with love and laughter. Plus, so many people helped us pull the day off… the whole experience was humbling.

If you could give one piece of advice to other brides who are planning their weddings, what would it be and why?
Delegate, delegate, delegate! Don’t be afraid to ask for help! For some reason weddings are a lot of work, and the people in your life who care about you really do want to help.

Where did you go for your honeymoon? What was the best part?
We took a road trip, and stopped in Zion National Park, Las Vegas and Moab. I clearly have a hard time picking favorites – but I would say hiking Angel’s Landing and the night we went to a Cirque Du Soleil show and then went dancing in Vegas are highlights.

What was your favorite thing to design/plan?
Instead of table numbers we labeled tables with hikes we’ve done together in Colorado. This was something we knew we wanted to do for a long time, and even went on specific hikes because they would make good table names! (hello… Mt. Cupid?! Doesn’t get more perfect than that!)
Andy was the one who designed the layout and wrote a piece about each hike… it was really sweet, and helped personalize the day.

It’s the most cliché thing in the world… but your wedding day really does fly by. Treasure every second.
