As soon as I met Scott and Shelby I immediately knew that we’d be a great fit on their wedding day! When I heard that Pastures of Plenty was the place they were getting married I was ecstatic. Farm weddings have a special place in my heart because they are so intimate and special!  I absolutely loved the vision that they had for their wedding day and all the special touches they included in it. Their whole wedding day was filled with laughter and feel good moments. I’m so thankful I was able to meet these two amazing humans who found one another and let me be a part of their special celebration! Please enjoy this heartfelt Pastures of Plenty Boulder Wedding. Pastures of Plenty Boulder Wedding

What was the favorite part of your wedding day?
The whole day was the best. Everyone always says their wedding day was the best day of their life and we didn’t believe them. We do now! The best part was that we had so many people who came from all over the country to celebrate with us. It was totally overwhelming in the best way possible to have everyone we love in one place! A moment that really stands out is when our friends surprised us by planning the Hora (the chair dance traditional at Jewish weddings). They were scheming all night to get people to hoist us up in chairs and even asked to band to learn the song that is traditionally played “Hava Nagila.” It was such a wonderful surprise and a great end to a perfect evening!

What was your favorite thing to design/plan?
We had the most fun planning the beer and wine selection for the wedding reception (and the welcome dinner we had the night before). We wanted to make sure that everything that was served were things we loved and that there was a wide range of choices. We spent a few evenings with different beer tasters and we would rank our favorites. It seems silly, but with the stress of wedding planning and so many important things to do before the big day (shuttles, ordering tables/chairs, presents, ceremony plan, etc.) it was a blast to put our creative energy into something so fun and carefree!

If you could give one piece of advice to other brides who are planning their weddings, what would it be and why?
Relax! There are so many things to worry about during wedding planning and the days leading up to the wedding that you can drive yourself crazy with details. I was so worried that something would go wrong and “all of these people” would be disappointed. It is easy when planning to just see the number of people who are coming and see it as just that, a number. When we got to the wedding and looked around we realized that all of the people we were worried about impressing are people who LOVE us and came to celebrate our marriage. It made all of the stress fade away! I wish I would have realized this during the planning process too. It is so easy to get caught up in silly details. At the end of the day if the cupcakes were dry or the flowers were the wrong color, all of the people who came out to celebrate with us still love us all the same.

Where did you go for your honeymoon? What was the best part?
We went to the southern part of Croatia! It was a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure for us.Our favorite part was staying on the island of Hvar. We loved wandering around the narrow streets and enjoying all of the wine and seafood Croatia has to offer!

Anything else you’d like to share with KMitiska Photography readers?
Every time I look at our wedding photos I have to remind myself that these are from OUR wedding. We could not have been more happy with the way our day was documented! When choosing a photographer make sure that you like their style and most importantly that you connect with them on a personal level. After our first meeting with Kim we were comfortable and confident that she understood us as a couple, what we wanted in a photographer, and that she would do a kick-ass job with our wedding photos!
